Venture is currently seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our growing MSP team. This high-level role is primarily focused on leading internal Azure initiatives (with some client-facing engagements), and it requires both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced Azure solutions – from DevOps pipelines and containerization to secure credential management – to enhance our service offerings. In this position, you’ll serve as the Azure subject matter expert, troubleshooting complex cloud issues and guiding best practices for both colleagues and clients. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Azure (approximately 5+ years), holds at least the Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certification, and excels at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver continuous value. Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage advanced Azure cloud infrastructure solutions for our internal projects and clients.
Lead our adoption of DevOps best practices and containerization technologies.
Implement and enforce robust security measures in our Azure environments.
Serve as the top-tier escalation point for Azure-related technical issues.
Work closely with other team members to elevate overall cloud competence.
Mentor and train technicians on Azure’s more complex features.
Interface with clients as needed for planning or implementing advanced Azure solutions.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud services.
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) – required.
Expertise in DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code.
In-depth understanding of Azure security and compliance features.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Additional Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or Chef.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related cloud services.
Understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with monitoring/alerting tools.
