Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Reporting to the Manager – International Business Centre, this role responsible for very high value transactions/clients both on Foreign Currency accounts and Foreign Exchange transactions. This will be the final authority on processing related matters, providing professional, attentive and accurate service to Foreign Exchange clients by using extensive knowledge of foreign currency account request and services. Fulfills complex transactions assuming ownership and personal accountability. Meets the immediate needs of the client by providing solutions and resolving issues. Listens to client’s needs and takes accountability to accurately complete transactions and delivers a superior client experience with every transaction. The competence with which the incumbent’s duties are carried out has a major impact on the reputation risk of the RBC globally. Failure to perform in an efficient and competent manner can not only jeopardize the Bank’s reputation but, can also result in significant penalties from Office of Superintendent of Financial Institution and OFAC. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Responsible for the Negotiation of Foreign Exchange deals directly with Clients Deliver high quality, timely and error-free service to clients and service partners on FCA. The incumbent will be responsible for Input/Release of foreign exchange transactions for Canadian banking and capital markets clients. Demonstrates Effective Call Handling Grows spread Revenue on transactions priced by the IBC while retaining FX business clients Responsible for monitoring and follow-up of all outstanding items on GL reconciliation. As per audit requirements, ensures that all general ledger accounts are balanced. Monitors all items outstanding in various GL accounts and makes sure that no overdue items are outstanding. On a daily basis, accesses Incoming Funds report and provide clients/Account managers with correct information in order to facilitate settlement. Assumes client facing role and ownership (first point of contact) and accountability for the resolution of complex issues and concerns relating to foreign currency account transactions and associated wire payments ensuring escalation process is followed where warranted. Demonstrates Effective Client Handling skills. Ensures all authorities (SECAF, delegated authorities, systems access) etc. are adhered too, reviewed and understood. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: Excellent knowledge of foreign exchange, Wire payment processes. Very Good knowledge of RIBS, RFX, RFT. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Good organizational and interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy Effective written and oral communication skills Computer literacy – i.e. Knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft – related software Nice-to-have: Sense of urgency, agile, adaptable and resilient to handle multiple situations Ability to embrace organizational change at an individual and team level Passionate about continuous growth, learning and sharing knowledge within a team What’s in it for you?
