Our Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of engineering and scientific disciplines. The team offers a comprehensive suite of liability technical risk consulting services tailored to address various risks, including manufacturing processes, operational risks, supply chain disruptions, construction projects, environmental pollution, natural hazards, and human and organizational risk factors. We also focus on delivering bespoke training plans to help optimize risk management procedures in the long term.

The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the ARC Liability Regional Manager - North America, this position will provide liability exposure analysis and risk improvement consultancy services to large corporate clients with operations in North America and globally. Specialize in General and Product Liability within the manufacturing sector, with a focus on process engineering, advanced materials, specialty polymers, or specialty chemicals. Offer expert recommendations on risk selection and retention, aligned with Allianz Commercial’s risk appetite by conducting desk-top assessments, engaging in risk dialogues, and performing on-site surveys for current and prospective clients. Actively contribute to the appraisal and development of casualty products, serve as a primary regional contact for liability risks, and deliver presentations and training sessions as needed.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Complete desk top reviews and risk assessments (pre & post loss) for underwriting evaluating and summarizing exposures and controls on General and Product Liability in the product and automotive manufacturing sectors.
Work with underwriting, claims, the client and the broker where appropriate to develop customized loss control programs including locations to be surveyed (or included as part of continuing service), scope and cost of risk consulting services.
Generate and review required reports and recommendations. Meet reporting deadlines in accordance with departmental performance objectives. Support Allianz Commercial functions (Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, etc.) and clients by providing as required scientific and technical insights in current and emerging risks about various industries, products, and technical applications.
Survey client operations obtain appropriate data, identify hazards, discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate loss control reports, recommendations etc.
Actively contribute to ARC Liability projects that support Allianz Commercial transformation and digitalization.
What You’ll Bring to the Role –
Minimum 7 years’ professional engineering or consulting experience in process engineering or project development environments within manufacturing advanced materials, specialty polymers, composites, or specialty chemicals. Additional professional experience in another discipline is an asset.
Through education or experience have demonstrable knowledge and skills in relevant disciplines including engineering in product development, production management, supply chain management, regulatory compliance, health and safety systems, environmental management, and occupational hygiene.
Experience working in risk management and loss prevention processes in industrial operations or in project driven environments.
Knowledge of Standardization Systems (ISO, API, ASME, etc) and auditing processes.
Basic data analytic experience in analyzing datasets related to loss prevention in the corresponding engineering discipline.
Master’s Degree in either Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry with focus on Advanced Materials, high performance polymers, or specialty chemical.
Or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in other area will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical experience.
A demonstrable engineering/technical expertise. Commitment to maintaining knowledge of developments and new technologies in field. Able to work technical loss control topics.
Knowledge of the business related liability legal environment, regulations, guidelines as they apply to the North American (USA and Canada) businesses and projects.
Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail. Strong verbal communication abilities with the ability to present technical information with clarity into a varied business environment. Organizational and interpersonal skills.
Competent user of the Office365 environment; understanding of principles of Data Analytics and keen user of AI agents.
The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-today tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable. A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role, and the broader organization is expected.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $98,700 to $176,673. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
