Position: Financial Analyst – Defense & Security Programs
Overview:
Join a leading organization in the military and defense sector, where your expertise in financial analysis will directly support mission-critical programs. This role requires individuals who are eligible for Canadian security clearances and can handle export-controlled data. You’ll play a key role in cost performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial planning for complex, long-term projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from multiple sources to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
Monitor and evaluate cost performance against baseline program plans, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) and earned value metrics.
Identify and communicate cost trends, variances, and risks to program management for timely decision-making.
Support long-range financial planning by developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, constraints, and organizational priorities.
Maintain and update cost and schedule performance measurement baselines, and provide clear reporting on earned value and variance analysis.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and variance analysis.
Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control methodologies.
Experience with Estimate at Completion (EAC) and earned value management (EVM) is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
Security & Compliance Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Eligible to handle U.S. export-controlled data.
Must have a valid Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
Must not pose a risk to the safeguarding of controlled goods.
Active Reliability Clearance required.
Must be eligible to obtain Secret Level II clearance within 6 months of hire.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
