Hiring Unit: Prof. Hannah Garner's Lab - Department of Microbiology & Immunology Supervisor: Prof. Hannah Garner Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Research Supervisor, conducts research projects using established protocols like genotyping, ELISA, cell culture, Western blotting, qPCR, etc. Has experience and expertise with molecular methods for lentivirus production Has training and experience with flow cytometry Implements recommended improvements to existing methods of analysis or research. Compiles data into the virtual lab notebook, Analyzes and interprets research data and disseminates the results. Responsible for the quality and results of their own work. May provide technical guidance and training to research staff, including Undergraduate/Graduate Student Research Assistants and Technicians, in the execution of tasks related to research projects. Performs various administrative tasks related to the project or to the lab environment like making inventories, taking care of some common equipment, filling forms, etc. Education & Qualification: Possesses subject matter expertise acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree. Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to the research project or academic research experience may be deemed equivalent.
