This is a multi-functional role that includes but is not limited to inspection, assembly, testing and repair of mechanical, optical and electronic components, sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Functions of the Assembly Technician will include, but not be limited to:
Assembly
Adhere to work orders and work instructions
Preparatory work, including tools, fixtures, test equipment
Produce subassemblies to specification and test measures
Testing and troubleshooting of components, assemblies and products
Inspection and repair of components, sub-assemblies and products
Administration
Complete all checklists/records/reports as required for traceability
CRM reporting
ERP reporting
Quality Audit checklists
Logistics
Assist with the receiving and put away of all incoming materials
Assist with packaging of products and systems
Requirements:
Grade 12 minimum, preferred diploma in Electronics / Electromechanical / Optics technology.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to interpret assembly procedures, wiring diagrams and drawings.
Ability to document and record test results and report daily labor and material consumptions.
Demonstrated ability to use tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
Ability to lift 40 lbs occasionally, to shoulder height.
Safety conscious.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
