As the Portfolio Management Assistant, you will primarily be responsible for assisting Investment Counsellors/Portfolio Managers to track/write new and updated Investment Policy Statements for clients and record/arrange/prepare for client wealth planning meetings. Other responsibilities include being responsible for the preparation of client meetings, responding to general client enquiries and preparing presentations/marketing material for clients and prospects. What will you do? By providing proactive and timely customer service, you will respond to client inquiries and update our systems with information or team tasks that need to be completed Prepare client meeting material in advance and attend some client meetings Be responsible for tracking anniversary dates and drafting new/updated Investment Policy Statements and investment policy letters for new and existing clients Tracking, arranging and preparing for client wealth planning meetings such as financial planning, insurance and estate planning sessions Provide support by being involved in business development activities and identifying/utilizing existing marketing material, while helping with prospect presentations and documentation Assist IC's/PM's and the team with any additional ad hoc administrative duties as needed What do you need to succeed? Must-have University Degree Successful completion of CSC (Canadian Securities Course) or equivalent Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a support role in the financial services industry Financial planning experience Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Exceptional business writing and communication skills Nice-to-have CIM designation or equivalent CFP or PFP designation What’s in it for you?
