The Role: Repair Technician This role applies comprehensive technical knowledge to support the maintenance of hardware and software equipment across UOTS and CWES systems. In addition to technical responsibilities, the technician may assist in training exercises as an Observer Analyst (OA), contributing to analysis and After Action Review (AAR) products. The position operates under general supervision and direction. Key Responsibilities Administer virtual environments and Windows Server environments, including domain control, storage, and software updates Assist in the administration of a Local Area Network Install and exchange software and hardware in field equipment Perform hardware and software maintenance on CWES/UOTS equipment Operate electronic test equipment to evaluate performance of components and assemblies Analyze equipment malfunctions and perform rework, repair, testing, and troubleshooting Maintain documentation and records of maintenance activities per contractual requirements Support training exercises by assisting as an OA, issuing equipment, and coordinating logistics Work shift schedules and overtime during exercise periods Complete a 3-month probationary period What We’re Looking For Two-year college degree in electronics or information systems, or equivalent experience and training Ability to solve complex problems beyond standard documentation Working knowledge of military operations, training, and procedures Proficiency with computers, hardware, and test equipment Experience with Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets Valid driver’s license Legal right to work in Canada and Canadian Government secret security clearance Physically fit: able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, work in tight spaces, sit/stand for extended periods, and climb stairs Willingness to travel nationally and internationally Preferred: Military experience in Signals with a rank of MCpl – Capt, software/hardware background, familiarity with circuit interrelationships, tool/test equipment selection, and database structures Apply Now Ready to make a difference?
