Marsh Brothers Aviation - Production Supervisor
Working under the administrative direction of the Manager, Engineering, R&D and Airworthiness, you will oversee the management of manufacturing components, assembly activities, and packaging of finished goods. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions and take immediate action to resolve issues based on a prioritized workload. This role is responsible for serving as a cross-functional and intercompany liaison to ensure that materials, components and assemblies flow smoothly through manufacturing to meet stringent deadlines and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary job duties and responsibilities for Marsh Brothers include, but are not limited to:
Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the company to ensure timely delivery to the next production location
Supervision of production staff, including (but not limited to) machinists, kitters, and quality control personnel
Push/pull physical movement of parts through receiving inspection, stock rooms, purchasing, production resources or any applicable work center of Marsh Brothers and Thordon Bearings
Work across departments, including Finance and Customer Service, to drive workflow consistency and accuracy while driving internal logistics lead-time and aging work orders
Ensure parts are handled and appropriately protected within Marsh Brothers specifications and industry best practices
Work with the planning, purchasing, engineering, and production teams to ensure our MRP/ERP data is and remains clean and accurate
Assist with the resolution of incorrect system data to ensure accurate demand profile and optimize work and material planning
Work with others to ensure all metrics-driven action requirements are completed
Perform and supervise basic mechanical assembly and packaging of the product for sale
Support management of material certifications as required – prevent use of uncertified materials
With support from senior management, help lead internal, Regulatory and third-party Audits of the company's QMS in the capacity of the PRMA.
Support production and inventory personnel with “return to stock” and inventory purge actions
Support purchase requisition creation and prioritization to support production schedules
Support projects or productivity improvement initiatives as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
You have at least 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing/planning/ scheduling environments, preferably in the aeronautical field
Hands-on experience with mechanical electrical, and controls systems and the ability to use mechanical and electrical tools to assemble, set up and troubleshoot issues with non-standard equipment.
You have a good understanding of the manufacturing process flow, work and material planning principles
You have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience
You are skilled at working across an organization with multiple departments often with competing priorities, to gain support to achieve the objectives
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
You are mechanically adept with a working knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly methodologies, tools and techniques
You have an attention to detail, enabling you to identify physical and/or aesthetic product non-conformance
You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to gain internal support, operate independently with some supervision and the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships across the organization

Physical Requirements
Primarily in the manufacturing plant, requiring the use of basic PPE
Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required for some assignments
Use of hand tools to perform basic assembly and packaging tasks
May be occasionally exposed to some chemicals and solvents, and to noise hazards at low to intermediate levels in the test rig area.
Use PC in a sitting and/or standing position
