Position Summary We are seeking a District Process Specialist who will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our industrial operations. With strong technical expertise, this individual will analyze processes, develop control strategies, and implement adjustments to optimize performance. They will monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose concrete solutions to enhance efficiency, stability, and quality, while reducing costs and maintaining a safe and environmentally respectful workplace. In parallel, the specialist will contribute to the design of equipment and control systems, relying on a deep understanding of plant operations. They will actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design, control strategy, and commissioning projects, thereby contributing to innovation and operational excellence. Our Benefits Competitive salary and annual bonification Comprehensive group insurance plan (dental, medical, life, disability, etc.) Telemedicine and Employee Assistance Program Hybrid work model: approximately 60% remote work (after probation period) Pension plan with employer contribution Reimbursement for gym memberships and physical activities Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the company Main Responsibilities Support for District Operations Diagnose and resolve issues affecting process efficiency Participate in daily production meetings Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and address process-related challenges Conduct root cause analyses and communicate findings to the operations team Perform data analysis and recommend control or equipment modifications Implement process changes, define structured test plans, document procedures, and provide team training Evening or night shifts may be required to support operations Technical Support for Project Management Assist project managers in developing design proposals and opportunity assessments Participate in equipment selection Write control narratives Contribute to the development of training manuals, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Deliver training to operational teams using the “train-the-trainer” approach Support project verification and commissioning phases Monitor budgets, schedules, and progress of process-related projects Contribution to Company-Wide Process Optimization Roadmap Help identify missing data or instrumentation Participate in the selection of tools that support analysis and decision-making Support the identification of new equipment or technologies Contribute to the development and updating of company standards Required Qualifications University degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial processes Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) Strong leadership skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team Excellent communication and technical writing skills Analytical mindset, data-driven approach, and innovative thinking Rigorous and professional work ethic Proven experience in conducting tests and writing technical reports Experience implementing process changes and/or new control strategies Demonstrated ability to design, manage, and implement technical projects Knowledge of fluid dynamics, separation equipment, evaporators, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and/or grinding equipment (asset) Experience in advanced control and automation (asset) Training or professional experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (asset) Experience in multivariate analysis (asset) Understanding of steam supply systems and/or steam boilers (asset) Experience with OSI PI Vision software (asset) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project Give meaning to your career and help us make a difference: become a transformation champion!
