We are searching for a motivated and curious Account Manager to join our Sales team in our Edmonton location to help grow existing accounts and find new business in the territory. This person will be a confident communicator who brings energy, initiative, and strategic thinking to align client needs with BGE’s solutions. Most importantly, they’re excited to learn about indoor air quality and believe in the value of what we do.
This role covers a mix of urban and rural accounts from Edmonton to Grande Prairie and south to Ponoka. Travel is required approximately 40% of the time, including occasional overnights. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently in the field, managing your schedule, and building relationships across diverse sites.
The day-to-day activities of our Account Manager will include:
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers in your territory. Understand their needs, share knowledge, deliver educational events, and recommend solutions that create excellent customer experiences. This will include stakeholders at all levels, from facility managers to executive decision makers.
Internal Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development, etc.) to share insights, help shape business initiatives, and support a consistent, high-quality customer experience.
Target Achievement: Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targets in the assigned territory.
Site Airchecks and Inspections: Conduct on-site walkthroughs with customers, attend their operations meetings, and proactively identify their upcoming needs.
The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume or in the initial phone screen:
3-5 years of previous Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience in outside sales and account management
A proven track record of territory management and consistent revenue growth
Experience developing and executing sales plans for a territory or vertical
Experience in the HVAC, building maintenance, mechanical, construction, or plumbing industry is preferred
