JOB TITLE: Regional Coordinator
The Regional Coordinator supports the development of quality person-centered
services and works alongside the Regional Manager and other
Managers/Coordinators. This role oversees a combination of Community Inclusion
employees, Staffed Home employees, and Home Share Providers, ensuring standards
are met and quality services are provided.
REPORTS TO: Regional Manager
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement programs for individuals (Home Share, Community
Inclusion, Respite, etc.).
- Train and oversee managers in all aspects of program operations.
- Assist in program training, staff development, and provide support and
guidance to employees/managers/contractors.
- Provide guidelines and directions regarding behavior interventions,
restrictions, techniques, etc.
- Assist employees, Coordinators, and Managers with supported people’s health
issues, including mental health and behavioral referrals.
- Support and meet the needs of individuals, family members, and advocates.
- Participate in developing the strategic direction for service delivery in the
region.
- Monitor individual programs and ensure regulatory guidelines and standards
are met.
- Maintain all personnel, payroll, and financial records as required.
- Coordinate crisis response and assist with problem-solving.
- Lead the implementation of ongoing risk management activities.
- Partner with Human Resources on recruitment needs.
- Manage and oversee regional occupational health and safety initiatives.
- Lead and/or participate in additional committees or special projects.
- Advise the Regional Manager and Human Resources Director on labour relations
issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Associate's degree or post-secondary Certificate/Diploma in social services,
health care, or a related field
- At least two years of experience in a related field, preferably with some
supervisory or leadership experience
- Willingness to obtain a Criminal Records Search
- Current first-aid and CPR certification
- Class 4 driving license (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Work Environment and Expectations:
Office Presence: This role is based in our main office.
Travel Requirements: Regular travel is required to effectively engage with our
teams and community partners. This includes periodic visits to various service
locations to support and interact directly with staff and stakeholders.
