Duties & Responsibilities
Perform checks in all areas of the plant, which involves climbing many stairs.
Vacuum and clean the plant using various support equipment.
Load product into trailers and train cars.
Operate the granular product bagging system.
Mix bromide, empty ash wagon, and move snow and waste material.
Operate a forklift, tractor, or skid steer as required.
Monitor the control room during breaks and assist the power engineers.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
4th class power engineering certificate is preferred.
Previous experience in an industrial environment.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights.
Schedule
This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working 12-hour day and night shifts from 7:00 to 7:00. The shift rotation is: 5 days, 2 off, 2 days, 5 off, 5 nights, 2 off, 2 nights, 5 off.
Location
This position is located at the Plant Operation, located approximately 30 km from the city of Estevan. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.
