About your next Challenge as a CF188 Life Support Equipment and Systems Technician:Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the CF188 Life Support Systems and Equipment Technician is responsible to perform on and off aircraft Aircraft Life Support Systems and Equipment (LSS & ALSE) maintenance activities in support of First and Second line maintenance Units.
What will you do:
Perform work on aircraft life support systems and equipment (on and off aircraft) in accordance with Canadian Forces Technical Instruction (CFTO), technical drawings, work instructions and other applicable technical references;
Maintain necessary ALSE-related test and support equipment;
Keep current with current and new technologies (hardware / software);
Conduct maintenance activities on related systems, such as:o Aircraft Life Support Equipment;o Aircraft Life Support Systems;o Liquid Oxygen (LOX) System;o Oxygen Storage;o Oxygen Purging;o Fire Extinguishing System;o Ejection System;o Windshield and Canopy System.
Provide Hand-on support to Military and L3 Harris technicians and Units on a required basic;
Report any un-airworthy conditions discovered;
Work in close collaboration with military personnel; and
Carry out duties as directed by the Site Manager and L3Harris
Required Skills and Experiences:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience;
Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of DMS;Knowledge of SAP;
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Endorsement on CF188 (asset); and
Experience in LOX storage and replenishment.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.• Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
