As our Director Finance at LRDG, you will play a key role and be part of the senior management team, responsible for leading and managing Accounting and FP&A.
We are looking for someone to manage an accounting team of five who run day to day finance and accounting operations for LRDG and several smaller related companies. We are looking for someone to help drive operational excellence looking to drive increase efficiency and reduce-automate manual activities in preparation of migrating to a new accounting system.
You will also develop and build the FP&A function, work with all departments in defining revenue and cost drivers, defining and tracking KPIs, and develop automated and standardized reporting and analysis.
At LRDG, you’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership, you’ll craft and execute financial and corporate strategies that align with business goals, enhance profitability, and ensure long-term financial health. Your insights will be key to driving growth, optimizing cash flow, and navigating both opportunities and challenges.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance and accounting professional who thrives in building and transforming finance and accounting, who is looking to be hands-on in building a new departments and leading operational excellence initiatives within financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
45% Accounting and Reporting: Manage a team of five, oversee the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of LRDG and several other related entities.
20% Process Improvement & Operation excellence: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and scalability for each client. Lead new accounting system selection and integration.
15% Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead all FP&A initiatives, build and transform the FP&A process, infrastructure, templates, and KPIS ensuring alignment with their specific business objectives. Conduct in-depth financial analyses, offering insights to guide key business decisions for clients.
5% Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure financial stability and proper funding for both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.
5% Compliance & Controls: Ensure all financial operations comply with applicable accounting standards (ASPE) and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
5% Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, advising clients on opportunities for cost reduction and improved financial performance.
5% Audit Support: Manage and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in finance & accounting including in senior finance roles (Controller, Manager FP&A, Finance Director), with experience across multiple industries preferred, with at least 2 years as a Controller, and with at least 2 years in a FP&A role or having led the FP&A activities as a Controller.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA certification is an asset.
Leadership: Strong professional and interpersonal skills, at ease with working with and influencing senior management, owners, and founders.
Self starter: Ability to build new processes, map and improve financial operations, transform FP&A infrastructure, reporting efficiency. Ability to define risks and opportunities, define the scope with cross-departmental buy-in, and manage the project to completion.
Skills: Deep understanding of financial and accounting operations, management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting; expert-level proficiency in Excel and financial software (ERP systems and accounting software a must).
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Results driven and resourceful. Curious and looking to learn, improve, and adapt.
Strategic: Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of diving into the details when needed; strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and compelling way.

Additional Information:
Compensation: An annual base salary of $115,000-$125,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus of 15%
