About the Role
The Associate Director, Media Services, leads the strategic planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of audio-visual (AV) technologies across the university. The role ensures consistent, high-quality AV experiences that support teaching, learning, and institutional events. The Associate Director oversees AV project delivery, standardization of platforms, operational support, and vendor relationships. The role collaborates with academic and administrative stakeholders to align AV services with institutional priorities and fosters a culture of service excellence and innovation.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Media Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 10 years of progressive experience in AV technology management, including leadership of cross-functional teams and large-scale AV implementations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Demonstrated expertise in AV systems design, integration, and support, including hybrid teaching technologies and enterprise-wide standardization.
Strong knowledge of AV platforms, control systems, and instructional technologies, with the ability to evaluate and implement emerging solutions.
Knowledge of accessibility standards, data privacy, and security practices relevant to AV environments in higher education.
Proven ability to lead operational teams, manage budgets, and deliver high-quality services in a complex, multi-campus environment.
Experience developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive service excellence and continuous improvement.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to collaboration and client service.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals
Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and lead change in a dynamic institutional setting.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and foster inclusive and accessible IT services.
