This role is accountable for providing evidenced-based scientific expertise to internal and external partners for all assets in the TA, delegating responsibility to the Associate Medical Director and/or Scientific Advisor as appropriate. The Medical Director is accountable for the Integrated Evidence Generation Process (IEGP) in collaboration with the therapeutic area team and in direct communication with the global organization. They lead the team responsible for the National Medical Education and Evidence Communication/ Dissemination plans. They work closely with external HCPs/sites to ensure seamless integration of the assets into the health care system. They lead, manage and coach a team that could include an Associate Medical Director, Scientific Advisor, National Medical Education Manager and Medical Communications lead. They provide scientific strategic leadership to the field medical team and lead the Medical Integrated Team. The Medical Director co-leads the cross-functional Patient Value Team and the development/execution of the cross-functional Business Plan and associated operational budget.
