This will be a remote role to start, with plans to transition to hybrid
in-office 2x/week located in downtown Toronto.

In this role, you will:
Lead product design on our consumer growth team & work closely with a global
team of product managers, product & brand designers, engineers and data
scientists, to define our strategy and drive the future of OpenTable’s customer
experience!
The Product Design Lead will build impactful user experiences that delight
customers and drive our business forward, evolve, and develop new experiences
while balancing the needs of our diners, restaurants, and the business.
This individual will collaborate with other designers whilst navigating the full
range of a product designer’s work—from research to high-fidelity designs. On
some days you’ll be sketching ideas and launching experiments as A/B tests, and
on others, conducting a customer interview or running a team workshop.
Additionally, you’ll be a part of our UX leadership team and manage a small
product design team, where you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and grow your
fellow designers.

You also:
- Have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in product design, with
2+ years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Excel at translating sophisticated workflows into elegant and accessible user
experiences
- Comfortably navigate all stages of the design process, from assembling
insights with user research, building, and testing prototypes, delivering
polished visual design, and working collaboratively with product managers and
engineers to bring the UX to life
- Continuously value introspection to improve yourself, your team, and your
products
- Proactively seek and incorporate direction from senior team members, and are
generally eager to learn and curious about the latest design trends and
methodologies
- Have a creative approach and open mind to solving problems, thrive with
challenges, and can independently lead a project or product area while being
open to feedback and coaching
- Drive collaboration between partner teams and can operate as a phenomenal
teammate.
- Actively supply to group conversations, facilitate working sessions, and help
shape decisions
- Have developed a large arsenal of tools and know when to use what to move the
work forward
- Have a portfolio that demonstrates your problem-solving skills, exceptional
visual design skills, and interaction design skills through a breadth of
great product design work across web and mobile platforms
- Have experience working on global products in a large-scale, product-led
environment, and have deep experience across all platforms including iOS,
Android and responsive web
- Have experience successfully managing or mentoring designers
- Have a track record of excellent communication and storytelling skills

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range,
including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic
location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Toronto,
Canada based role is $155,000-$185,000 CAD.
We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits;

holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits. This role is eligible
to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
