The Senior Consultant, Offensive Security will lead complex penetration testing and red team engagements, simulate real-world adversaries, and help clients strengthen their defenses through expert analysis and actionable remediation guidance. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in offensive security, holds advanced certifications such as OSCP or OSCE, and brings deep technical knowledge of networks, applications, and exploitation techniques. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior team members, advancing internal methodologies, and contributing to the development of new tools and services, all while engaging directly with clients as a trusted security advisor. CDW's Risk Advisory Services practice specializes in Cyber Security and Risk, penetration testing, IT audit, IT operational, and technology risk advisory services. Responsibilities Key Areas of Responsibility: Lead and/or independently conduct penetration testing assessments (networks, web applications, web services, wireless networks, social engineering, etc.), red team, and adversarial simulation assessments. Document findings and create penetration testing reports; deliver the information in verbal and written format. Provide trusted advisor consulting services to clients. Assist clients by providing remediation action plans of the discovered vulnerabilities to improve their security posture, reducing risk to the organization, and improving security resiliency. Maintain technical proficiency, sharing knowledge throughout the firm through mentorship, tool development, and methodology enhancements. Identify and implement improvements in existing processes and procedures. Research and develop new leading-edge tools and penetration testing products and services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, countermeasures, TTPs, security tools and technologies. Mentor Associate Consultants and Junior Analysts. Assist with the pre-sales process. Qualifications Minimum Education and/or Experience 5+ years of industry experience in penetration testing and/or red teaming. OSCP/OSCE/OSWP/OSWE or equivalent offensive security certifications. University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Sciences, Information Security or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of computer networking and/or software and web development experience. Extensive technical knowledge around security industry best practices and procedures. Experience in researching exploits, techniques and developing tools to support penetration testing and red team activities. Strong scripting and programming skillset. Strong written and oral communication skills. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage several projects concurrently, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations. Interest in taking a leadership role in a growing professional services practice. Eligibility to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory) Bilingual English and French. Information Security professional designations such as CISSP, CISM, CISA. Knowledge and experience testing SCADA/OT environments. Knowledge and experience testing cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge and experience performing source code reviews. Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Level 2 – Secret security clearance. We determine individual pay within a given range based on a candidate's prior experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. This approach allows us to offer competitive and equitable salaries that reflect the value and responsibilities of each role at CDW.
