Recognized in its field of expertise, our client is currently seeking a Legal Assistant in trademarks to support their team of experienced professionals. You will have the opportunity to work with professionals in several major files.

YOUR ROLE:
As an trademarks legal assistant, you will be involved in challenging cases related to this area. Your responsibilities will include:
Follow-up of trademark files and deadlines and communication with the various stakeholders;
Searches for publications within the Trademark Journal, reviews and records in internal systems and forwards to clients;
Review and forward receipt notices to clients;
Prepare and forward various letters such as abandonment letters and letters indicating deadlines for client requests, including property notices;
Preparation and filing of applications for trademark registration at CIPO;
Process applications for expungement of trademarks with the Registrar.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
DVS in Secretarial Studies or any other equivalent training;
Experience in trademarks, litigation an asset;
Good level of French and English, spoken and written;
Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite;
Proactivity, analytical skills and attention to detail;
Sense of organization and excellent customer service.
