Job Title Guest Ambassador - Part Time (Seasonal) Job Description Summary Become one of the faces of Midtown with our new Ambassador program. Reporting directly to the Marketing Coordinator, the Ambassador will enthusiastically support the enhancement of the Guest experience by consistently engaging with customers, retail tenants, and various departments to ensure a positive experience for all shoppers. Ambassadors will also support on-site events and programs throughout the year and learn the behind-the-scenes operations of Midtown. Job Description MAIN OBJECTIVES: ➢ Provide assistance throughout the Shopping Centre as required to customers, tenants and our operations team to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience ➢ Tour Midtown with the purpose of actively looking to assist shoppers wherever possible, and to observe and report operational issues to key stakeholders ➢ Provide premium customer service by providing information, directions, support, and services to the shopping and travelling public ➢ Act as a liaison with retailers and office tower tenants through regular visits and communication RESPONSIBILITIES: ➢ Demonstrate exceptional customer service to all shoppers and tenants by being knowledgeable about the property and its offerings ➢ Identify when a shopper may need assistance and assist wherever possible ➢ Regularly visit high traffic areas and identify operational deficiencies in cleaning, maintenance, hazards or other concerns, and report accordingly ➢ Respond to all inquiries with professionalism and knowledgeable information ➢ Assist shoppers in purchasing gift cards, through a variety of methods including on-line and kiosk ➢ Assist with various on-site promotions and events ➢ Support the marketing team by contributing ideas and content for the social media channels, e-newsletters and blogs ➢ Be knowledgeable about which retailers and brands are available at Midtown, as well as any special events and sales to best assist Midtown shoppers ➢ Report on frequent questions and make recommendations for future initiatives ➢ Daily reporting and other duties as assigned DRESS CODE: ➢ Uniform – A uniform will be provided that the employee is responsible for and must be worn during all shifts QUALIFICATIONS: ➢ Minimum grade 12 Diploma or equivalent ➢ Willingness to learn ➢ Excellent customer service skills with a drive to go above and beyond, (one year experience in Customer Service an asset) ➢ Strong communication skills, multilingual skills a plus ➢ Ability to work in a “team” environment ➢ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple hours spent standing or walking. ➢ Must be enthusiastic and outgoing while maintaining a high level of professionalism ➢ Must be friendly, approachable, proactive and solution focused ➢ Open availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
