The Data Conversion T-SQL Developer is responsible for programming all transformations leading to the migration of initial customer data into our Central Data Repository (CDR). To make this happen, the candidate will use the T-SQL programming language and our existing internal tools to facilitate their work. The person also ensures that any necessary change requests (CRs) for these tools are communicated in a timely manner to meet the specific needs of the customers. Finally, the person provides Tech Support tier I coordinated by the Data Conversion Lead. What you'll do Data Transformation and Development Establish, document and program data transformations according to the requirements provided by the data owner and the available data Verify transformations using unit tests Adjust T-SQL programming based on feedback from the Data Conversion QA resource, Data Conversion manager, QA Test team, integrated tests, and Customers Project Coordination & Communication Meet project timelines related to your responsibilities, coordinated and prioritized by the Data Conversion manager Promptly communicate any risk of delays to the assigned data owner or project manager Implementation and Support Create and run corrective scripts on internal and customer environments Provide Tech Support to internal resources (T-SQL snippets) Assist customers and implementation resources with data-related questions Quality Assurance and Problem Solving Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to review the control reports produced by the load process Coordinate actions requiring resolution with customers and concerned internal resources Plan and coordinate the resolution of all data quality issues (validations and controls) What you bring Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of professional experience Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) Strong experience with T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual Studio Nice to haves Experience with Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Excel tools Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people Personal Skills Detail-oriented, analytical, and good problem solver Ability to understand the big picture while mastering the details Self-motivated, enthusiastic and maintains a positive attitude at all times Curious, disciplined and creative Takes ownership and demonstrates autonomy Uses a combination of concepts (ideas, strategies, methodologies) and data (facts, research information) to approach problems in a structured manner Delivers quality solutions in the most efficient way possible, without compromise Assures quality in a timely manner Organized and takes charge of responsibilities What's in it for you True Work from Home flexibility: A true telework-first culture that differentiates us in Montreal – we're committed to this model for the long term Enterprise-wide impact: Your work directly impacts major enterprise clients with long-term contracts (5-10 years), providing both job complexity and stability Agile methods excellence: Experience with structured Agile methods with autonomous teams, clear roles and influence-based leadership Collaborative culture: Work in an environment that values interpersonal skills and positive influence over traditional hierarchical management A bit about us We’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
