The Opportunity
We’re seeking Traffic Control Persons and Lane Control Technicians with a background in traffic control to join our team in Chilliwack. You’ll support lane setups and assist with general labour, working with a diverse fleet and a supportive team with opportunities for growth. Candidates with and without First Aid Level 3 are welcome.
As a Traffic Control Person, you’ll play a key role in keeping people safe and projects moving. Working outdoors with a skilled crew, you’ll set up and maintain traffic control, guide vehicles and pedestrians through work zones, and support site operations with precision and professionalism. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in safety, and want to make a visible impact in your community, this role is for you.
Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.
Your Key Responsibilities
Set up, maintain, and inspect traffic control equipment in accordance with the Traffic management Plan.
Direct traffic, pedestrians, and workers around road construction sites.
Create and maintain all required daily documentation per WorkSafeBC (WSBC) requirements.
Perform other general labour duties as required.
Your Qualifications & Skills
Safety-conscious, effective communicator, with knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and requirements for traffic control.
Must hold a valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification
Must have a valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
Experience and ability to work on both highways and municipal roadways
Ability to operate a crash attenuator truck/TMA truck is preferred; training available for the right candidate.

Union hourly rate: $25.00–$30.00 per hour.
