Working efficiently on a team Flexibility and adaptability to meet customer/business requirements Attending to detail and following written instructions Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing Project management and working on multiple activities at the same time MS office applications More about this role The Quality Lab Coordinator is responsible to assist the Laboratory and Innovation Supervisor in execution of the day-to-day operations of the Lab. This includes for ensuring that all applicable Regulatory and Corporate policies are adhered to, as they pertain to the QS Laboratory function. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for overseeing the plant stability program to ensure appropriate sampling, testing and summary report generation is completed according to NHP, OTC, and Dietary Supplement regulations. Coordinate Lab Instrument Calibration Program as per schedule. Follow up on OOS calibration results and lab equipment breakdowns. Governance of all plant calibration records ensure they are accurate and executed as per the schedule. Coordinate sampling & scheduling of testing results for raw materials and finished products with external test labs. Create / Revise Raw Material and Finished Product Specifications. Create / Revise SOP & Test Methods to ensure compliance with local and current regulatory policies. Assist in maintenance / ordering of lab supplies including managing of purchase orders. Support the Quality Department in gathering / summarizing product performance data (ie. Annual Product Quality Reviews). Support and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and affiliates on technical/laboratory information. Support Consumer Complaint Investigations as required. Support the Laboratory and Innovation Supervisor to review and approve raw materials, packaging materials and finished products and with creation/revision of plant floor documents for innovation purposes. Participate within the IL6S pillars and qualify in assigned work processes to help build core team capabilities. When required, performs required organoleptic, physical and chemical analyses of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to established / compendial procedures with minimum supervision. When required, performs raw material and product testing to provide timely action and resolution of manufacturing issues. Work in safe manner and be aware of potential safety hazards in the department and workplace. Function as part of the operations and quality work teams, providing assistance to other work areas to accomplish necessary functions and projects. In conjunction with colleagues, address deviations as required to ensure consumer safety and product quality. Must be able to prioritize work for maximum time effectiveness and efficiency and handle a number of situations at one time including concentrating and pay close attention to detail. Must have the capability and initiative to perform duties without direct supervision. Must be able to function as part of a team and work closely with Operations/ Maintenance/ Scheduling to effectively troubleshoot potential issues in a professional manner. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy Biology and a related discipline SPECIALIZED JOB KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience in Analytical testing environment. Sound understanding of computers and laboratory drug handling systems, statistical methods and Quality Control; Knowledge / understanding of Good Laboratory Practices as they pertain to NHP, Drug OTC and Dietary Supplements.
