Description
Perform installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems for production and support equipment.
Maintain, trouble shoot, and support and repair of all production equipment and support equipment, e.g., air compressors, coolers, turbines, and material storage tanks.
Coordinate and participate in scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on all production and supporting equipment.
Perform daily inspection of packaging lines and production equipment based on schedule.
Determine materials, parts, and equipment to be used for repair, installation, and stock.
Ability to inspect, operate and maintain heating, cooling, ventilation systems, and water treatment devices for the entire plant.
Provide emergency unscheduled repairs of production and packaging equipment as needed.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Coordinate with the supervisor for scheduled and unscheduled work on the mechanical, electrical, and other related systems throughout the entire plant.
Ability to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other related systems of all production and supporting department equipment in a safe and secure manner.
Program temperature controllers. Honeywell controllers, AC inverters, DC controllers.
Read and understand complex written and oral instructions.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, schematics, and mechanical prints.
Keep records of repairs and develop or make necessary changes to a planned maintenance schedule.
Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Complete required documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
Must perform all work in a safe and efficient manner, as assigned per shift.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in fabrication and sanitary welding (certification preferred).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, plans, schematics, and manuals.
Strong working knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), electronics, instrumentation, and industrial applications.
Computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance management systems.
Skills in electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, mechanical assembly, and machining.
Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Flexibility to work overtime and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Effective communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English.
Excellent customer service and collaboration skills, including interaction with all departments, vendors, and government agencies.
Physical ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
Willingness to work in environments with exposure to dirt, dust, odors, and loud noises.
