Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Position Summary The National Sales Director (NSD), Oncology is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving commercial excellence across the Solid Tumour and Hematology portfolios. This role leads the national field sales organization and partners cross-functionally to shape and execute go-to-market strategies that deliver meaningful patient impact and business growth. The NSD is accountable for leading Regional Business Managers (RBMs) and Territory Managers (TMs), enabling high performance through strategic territory alignment, incentive design, and capability development. The role is also central to evolving our sales structure and embedding a culture of sales excellence and enterprise effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic planning and tactical sales execution to drive national performance across the Oncology portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional brand teams and key business partners to develop and implement national sales strategies and tactics for the Solid Tumour portfolio. Oversee territory alignment, sales force sizing, and resource deployment to optimize coverage and impact for in-line portfolio and new assets. Collaborate with business partners to develop, communicate and implement sales forecasts, sales call plans, and sales incentive plans, in alignment with strategic goals. Analyze sales and operations data to monitor sales progress and develop corrective plans to improve sales force effectiveness/efficiency. Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, empowerment, and collaboration at all levels of the organization. Lead talent development across the oncology sales organization by driving mastery of requisite skills (business, selling skills, TA understanding, territory management, etc.,) by identifying key areas for development and developing appropriate curriculum. Ensure field force has completed appropriate training to ensure compliance to J&J training standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Candidates should have a proven track record of success with a minimum of 10 years cross functional experience in key Commercial & Sales Leadership roles, including a minimum of 4 years of Marketing and/or Strategic Marketing required. Very strong direct people management/leadership experience required, including prior experience leading management level teams is required. Prior experience in sales as either a TM or RBM is highly preferred. Demonstrated capabilities and traits for career path versatility to progress to other key roles are preferred. Candidate should possess very strong communication and leadership skills consistent with the J&J Leadership Imperatives (Connect / Shape / Deliver / Lead). Candidate should demonstrate a high level of commercial capabilities and clear cycles of success in prior commercial roles. Modest travel (approximately 20%-30%) including conferences, training and field visits. Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
