Compensation: $66,586 - $80,320 annually plus a comprehensive compensation package that includes time-off entitlements, health benefits, life insurance, and participation in the HOOPP pension plan.

We are Somerset West Community Health Centre (SWCHC), a non-profit, community-governed organization that serves over 18,000 clients annually. What the Program Entails
The Human Resources team at SWCHC works towards creating and maintaining a diverse, healthy and inclusive workplace through strengthening our HR policies, practices and workplace culture, building strong relationships with employees, and putting in place a sustainable HR infrastructure that supports the Centre’s mission and growth.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Director of HR and Organizational Wellness, the Recruitment and Talent Development Specialist will lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives. They will play a key role in attracting and retaining top talent that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, fostering inclusive hiring processes, and supporting employee growth opportunities and engagement. As a member of the HR team, they will also contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects that strengthen our people and culture.
What We’re Looking For
❖ Life and Work Experience
At least five years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or workforce development.
❖ Your Education Path
Undergraduate degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
HR designation (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) is an asset.
❖ Required Language
Fluency in English required.
Working knowledge of French is a strong asset.
Other languages an asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong influencing skills
Ability to develop training programs and career development initiatives
Experience with HRIS/ATS is an asset
Your Day-to-Day at a Glance
As our Recruitment and Talent Development Specialist, your responsibilities are:
Full-Cycle Recruitment and Onboarding
Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes. Manage job postings, sourcing, interviews, hiring and seamless onboarding experience.
Partner closely with hiring managers to deliver an excellent candidate experience.
Assist with immigration and work permit applications when needed.
Employer Branding and Talent Attraction
Develop and implement strategies to position the organization as an employer of choice, including attending community events to promote jobs, identifying recruitment channels that reach diverse candidate pools.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
Ensure equitable recruitment and talent development practices, and promote diversity in hiring decisions.
Professional Development and Training
Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities
Career Pathing and Growth Opportunities
Support career development initiatives to help employees achieve their full potential.
Talent Acquisition Metrics and Reporting
Develop and track key hiring metrics, analyze trends, and provide data-driven insights to improve recruitment effectiveness and candidate experience.
Development of Recruitment and Training Tools
Create and maintain effective hiring tools, onboarding resources, and training materials.
Other
Provide backup support for the HR Coordinator when needed
Contribute to HR and organizational initiatives that strengthen people practices, improves employee experience, and participate in cross-functional projects as assigned.
