Project Management and Cross Functional Coordination, including KPIs and Hoshin Lead NPI supply chain program planning and execution of deliverables for a given product, technology development and/or key component. This includes project planning, schedule / status updates, ensuring required deliverables are completed on time, proactively identifying risks and mitigation plans, and managing issues to resolution. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the component sourcing is aligned to the sourcing plan for the product and ultimately the internal global commodity strategy. Where new suppliers are identified; lead activities to onboard them, which includes alignment with the global commodity strategy team. Coordination and ongoing alignment of supply vs demand with suppliers, contract manufacturers and internal manufacturing sites Lead dashboard and metric updates Project planning and coordination of internal non-product initiatives Sourcing Strategy and Supply Chain Risk Mitigation Overall lead to develop the sourcing strategy for a given product, technology development and/or key component Lead multi and non-geopolitical sourcing strategies, to mitigate supply risk Identify and lead supply chain risk mitigation activities, such as contract establishment, safety stock plans…etc. Ensure sourcing strategies meet or exceed expectations (quality, delivery, cost) and are aligned with the Business Unit (PLMs, Eng. PMs), Commodity Managers, Quality and Engineering. Coordinate supplier onboarding Contribute to Speed Design Reviews (SDRs), focusing on the development of a robust sourcing strategy Material Cost Establishment and Management, DfM and DfC Overall lead to develop the material cost roadmap for given product, technology development and/or key component Component and BOM analysis to identify cost avoidance and reduction opportunities through the development process. This can include but is not limited to; supplier negotiation, setting proper allocations and MOQs, recommending component selection or design changes. Contribute to Speed Design Reviews (SDRs), focusing on material cost Facilitate early engagement between suppliers and the Lumentum Engineering to drive manufacturability, repeatability, cost, and lead time improvements. Support and provide overall guidance to following items, but directly responsible when a dedicated NPI Supply Chain Planner does not exist: Item Setup, Procurement and Logistics Coordinate the execution or part setup in the ERP system (warehouse assignments, item pricing) Ensure materials are ordered (create PRs) in support of the build plan(s) Monitoring purchase orders, communicate with suppliers and escalate as necessary Manage NPI material flow and transactions between sites / warehouse locations and CMs Material Planning and Change Management Aligning material drive to NPI build and production ramp plans Development and manage risk buy and material ramp plans internally and with CMs Manage the material impact and disposition resulting from revision, AML and BOM updates Support split or qual matrix build plans Build Planning and Scheduling Manage supply vs demand while understanding capacity constraints and take appropriate action Planning and scheduling of customer orders through the NPI phase Production Transfer Ensure material drive supports the product ramp to ensure a flawless transition to the production demand management team Identify and support the disposition of any NPI material / E&O QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ SKILLS: Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Optics and/or Mechanical Engineering At least 7 years relevant work experience Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or equivalent Intermediate MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint user Good written and verbal communication skills Analytical and good problem-solving abilities Detail orientated and organized Self-motivated, goal oriented Team player PREFERENCES: Experience working in a New Product Introduction (NPI) / product development environment Semiconductor background, inc. wafer fabrication and back-end assy (dicing, packaging, die-bonding, wire bonding).
