site studies, design, procurement, cost control, program management, implementation,
construction management, and commissioning predominately in the mining, minerals
processing, and utilities sectors. 
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance
team. This role combines general accounting responsibilities with advanced financial
reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records,
prepare financial statements, manage working papers, and generate insightful corporate
reports to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting
• Perform full-cycle accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, and
month-end/year-end close.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist with payroll and tax filings as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all financial activities.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with
accounting standards.
• Maintain and update working papers to support financial reporting and audits.
• Analyze financial data and trends to produce meaningful reports for
management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop and interpret financial metrics to assess performance and profitability.
Compliance & Controls
• Ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial, and local tax regulations.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• CPA designation or in-progress preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; Advanced knowledge of accounting software such
as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
