Job Description
AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Digital Consultant.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between operational users and Metrolinx IT for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools (i.e. Power Platform).
Manage intake, verification, and escalation of SharePoint and MS 365 related issues, enhancements, and requests.
Maintain a centralized tracker for issue management, trends, and recurring user feedback.
Collaborate with IT to validate and implement updates, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and digital governance.
Support the Digital Workstream with the design, testing, and deployment of new SharePoint structures and automations.
Conduct testing and user validation sessions prior to go-live for any system or configuration changes.
Maintain documentation libraries, user guides, and navigation aids for operational users.
Support adoption through office hours, site demos, and individualized guidance.
Participate in stakeholder sessions to ensure operational feedback informs ongoing platform enhancements.
Identify and document process improvements and digital enablement opportunities across operational workflows.
Support integration of new digital features in alignment with ECWE’s performance monitoring and reporting frameworks.
Develop a structured process for reporting, triaging, and escalating digital issues within SharePoint and Power Platform environments.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. + minimum 4+ years’ experience supporting or configuring SharePoint in a large, operations-focused, or infrastructure organization OR relevant diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience
Proficiency in SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and/ or MS Teams.
Strong understanding of permission hierarchies, content types, metadata, and document governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience translating user requirements into technical specifications and coordinating implementation with IT teams.
Skilled communicator capable of bridging technical and operational perspectives.
Experience in digital adoption, user training, and process improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of compliance, information governance, and lifecycle management within public-sector environments.
Experience with service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) is preferred
