Job Description
The House of Commons’ Procedural Services is currently looking to create a pool of candidates for anticipatory staffing of the Business Application Support Officer.
About the Role:
As part of this team, you will be responsible to provide functional first-line desktop, information management and application support to users working with Procedural Services business systems. This includes identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving problems with business applications, as well as offering training and coaching to Procedural Services’ staff and related groups. Responsibilities also include managing software, hardware and access permissions to the network. The Business Application Support Officer also participates in the planning, development, testing and deployment of new hardware/software, applications, initiatives, and defect fixes and enhancements.

Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experiences:
Provided high-quality customer service while resolving technical issues efficiently;
Experience providing end user technical support in an environment with a high volume of incidents;
Experience troubleshooting and developing creative workarounds to resolve technical problems and requests;
Good knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals in order to identify and troubleshoot problems caused by equipment failure (desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, etc.);
Experience analyzing and documenting user requirements, synthesizing ideas, and communicating technical concepts in common language as appropriate to audience levels of understanding.
Assets :
Knowledge in the use of Microsoft products such as CRM, ServiceNow, Azure DevOPs and Sharepoint.
Experience managing network access requests, permissions to shared drives, coordinating system installations, IT asset moves and licencing, and software/hardware acquisitions.
Experience in business analysis.
