POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager will oversee and manage complex industrial projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage multiple projects at various stages, ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and profitability according to strict deadlines and within budget. Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project. Act as a key technical advisor in meetings with customers and prospects to support sales efforts. Planning and Execution Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management. Lead and organize internal and external project meetings, ensuring seamless coordination among clients, end users, the DuBois Projects Team, and subcontractors. Liaise with EPCs, EPCMs, and site contractors for oil, gas, mining, and processing facilities throughout all phases of the project cycle. Manage critical project documentation, including permits, submittals, and insurance requirements. Oversee financial aspects of contracts, safeguarding company interests while fostering positive client relationships. Lead supply chain processes and manage the project schedule to optimize cost and performance. Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, report as required to stakeholders. Manage invoice and payment collections, ensuring financial consistency. Identify and manage scope changes, executing necessary change orders with customers. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendation report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Assist the Commercial team with site audits and customer meetings during the discovery and scoping phases. Complete project close-out reports, addressing final work scope changes and revenue opportunities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Technical Competency: Capability to produce a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram(P&ID). Participate and review in the technical design and proposal generation processes of VET projects Desired Skills and Experience: International Engineering Projects experience is a key asset Experience with developing and managing vendor relationships, and completing vendor assessments Licensed as a practicing Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia Experience with managing multidisciplinary team from detailed process design through fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning to project closeout Leading field commissioning and troubleshooting activities are essential assets. Experience with large project management experience in oil/gas, mining or similar is required. Experience with large, complex technical projects (oil/gas, mining, etc..) is required Experience working with international contractors and suppliers is an asset Sales and customer service experience is an asset. EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Industrial) PMP certification is an asset.
