BASF/Chemetall, is the Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF’s Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, and a leading supplier of applied surface treatments worldwide. We are looking for a Industry Sales Specialist - Aluminum Finishing to join our Sales team; this is a remote position; this individual can be based in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico; however, near an international airport.

Account and relationship management. 
Responsible for sales and pricing processes according to the company’s pricing guidelines for assigned account(s).
Support the negotiation and closing of sales deals with customers; prepare and manage bid/tender offers and contract management. 
Generate and manage commercial and technical approvals.
Resolve and manage customer service requests; serve as a liaison between account(s) and all Chemetall departments.
Maintain close business relationships with key decision makers.
Represent Chemetall in on-site visits and key meetings.
Customer development actives: collaborate on account target setting with Key Industry Sales Manager; provide sales forecasts.
Prepare and manage bid/tender offers.
Continuously analyze and keep track of sales and identify up-/cross-selling opportunities within the account using SalesForce.
Understand technical and managerial requirements of customer; uncover and offer new products tailored to the customer’s needs.
Keep track of competitors’ offers and actions, initiate counteractions.
Engage clients with marketing and communication initiatives. 
Advise regional salesforce on account activities.
Share market insights and trends with Regional Marketing management.
Provides input into Aluminum Intensive application segment strategy.
If you have...
 
Bachelor’s degree: Engineering, Chemistry or Business Administration preferred.
10 years of experience in aluminum finishing industry is preferred. 
Familiarity with the value-added treatment of aluminum including the anodizing process.
Prior experience with key account management or support.
Demonstrated business acumen and sales acumen (account and relationship management, value-based selling, ect.)
Demonstrated consistent sales achievement with high level of efficiency in the sales process.
Prior experience with project management and ability to meet tight timelines. 
Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written. 
Ability to travel 50-60% which includes overnight travel.
