Job Description: Position Purpose summary: The Christmas Kettle Campaign Driver is responsible for creating and implementing the organization and monitoring of Christmas Kettle Campaign Worker activities. They will also ensure adequate staffing is met prior to and during each shift. KEY Accountabilities: Responsible as a group work leader, provides direction and checks results. May participate in recruitment of staff and or volunteers Foster and maintain positive working relationships with kettle sites Deliver and pick-up kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donations. Host at a kettle as required, ensuring necessary coverage for breaks, etc. Ensure that kettle locations have adequate supplies of literature etc. Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner. Record statistical data and prepare weekly time sheets as required. Post campaign; retrieve all equipment/supplies from various kettle locations. Perform other position related duties as required. If required to assist by working at a Kettle location, the following is expected Greets and thanks donors courteously Presents a positive image (well-groomed/dressed) for TSA while on duty Remains at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received Responds to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs Performs other duties as assigned Health & Safety: In work with the public and collecting cash, extreme caution should be used at all times with regards to safety. Working Conditions: The performance of the job requires frequently transporting kettle stands, driving and occasionally hosting kettles The above responsibilities must be discharged in accordance with The Salvation Army’s Mission Statement, in a professional manner, upholding our code of conduct. education and experience Qualifications: Education, Qualifications and Certifications: Completion of High School, Grade 12 or equivalent plus specialized courses of up to six(6) months. NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable. Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements Skills and Capabilities WHIMIS Training Fluent spoken and written English Valid Drivers license and clean driver’s abstract Criminal Record Check Excellent team and interpersonal skills Able to handle physical demands, which include lifting/carrying of items more than 20 pounds. Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $17.85 to $20.64 with a maximum of $24.77. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
