Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Manager, Consolidation & Financial Reporting will support the Senior Manager in managing the consolidation process and the consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards. The Manager will have a mix of direct and indirect reports. This is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and improving the month-end consolidation process, and preparing the monthly financial statements (statement of financial position, statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income, and statement of cash flow)
Preparing the annual consolidated financial statements, including the notes, and ensuring their compliance with IFRS Accounting Standard
Managing the consolidation system as well as the system used for the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements
Leading the external audit of the annual consolidated financial statements
Resolving complex accounting subjects and preparing accounting memos, including leases and business combinations
Coaching and training the Consolidation & Financial Reporting team on accounting under IFRS Accounting Standards, month-end process, and the consolidation system
Providing support to local accounting teams and other departments within PFX Group on accounting questions and consolidation system matters
Maintaining and developing accounting policies to ensure that the financial reporting complies with IFRS Accounting Standards
Preparing ad hoc training sessions on various accounting topic
Ensuring new IFRS Accounting Standards are monitored and leading implementation projects for new IFRS Accounting Standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
CPA designation
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Strong experience in consolidation and consolidation systems
Ability to manage processes and teams
Excellent knowledge of Excel
Experience with IFRS Accounting Standards
Bilingual English-French
Team-oriented with strong coaching skills
