The brand-new West Coulee Station Elementary school, located in Garry Station, serving approximately 460 students from kindergarten to grade 5, and is the home of the Spanish Bilingual program. West Coulee Station Elementary School provides a large welcoming space for all students for instructional and performance activities in the Garry Station community.

Garry Station is one of the newer areas in West Lethbridge, located northwest of Indian Battle Heights and southwest of West Highlands. The neighborhood was first established in 2012 but continues to grow and develop welcoming all families to enjoy the many amenities it has to offer.

Subjects
West Coulee Station Elementary School is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic professional educator to join their team in their English stream as a Grade 1/2 Teacher! The ideal candidate is a student-centered educator who brings energy, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to everything they do. They will be committed to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments that inspire curiosity and a love of learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A strong foundation in literacy and numeracy instruction;
A commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive school community;
A deep understanding of inquiry-based learning practices;
Proficiency in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the development of critical thinking skills.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
Conditions of Employment
In order to ensure and maintain a safe and secure working and learning environment, applicants new to Lethbridge School Division who are offered employment must provide:
A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver’s licence, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
