Job Description What is the opportunity? The Associate Director will build credit aggregation engines to execute RBC’s Stress Testing programs and develop complex tools to provide sound analytics to senior management. You will work on strategic projects to drive efficiency gains across stress testing and provisioning programs. You will research and propose sound recommendations, to the team Director and Senior Director, pertaining to the production process and the operating model with internal and external stakeholders. What will you do Develop, document, and implement complex forecasting or decomposition tools used in the ECL production process. Be a strong producer of independent output. Deliver quantitatively sound methodologies/results against self-determined timelines given competing priorities/needs Conduct data analysis with a strong attention to detail; identify potential errors before they arise Present quantitative materials, concisely and accurately, to the team VP Identify production and control challenges and conduct independent problem solving to resolve. Support Business Review, Model Validation, User-Acceptance Testing, Internal Audit and External Audit or Regulatory Review of Credit Risk Models Begin to develop an organizational awareness, creating a network that can be levered for independently solving self-identified problems Anticipate, and be able to answer, nearly all substantive questions related to their personal work. Must-have 5+ years of Model Development experience within a financial industry Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (i.e. Statistics, Math, Computer Science and Engineering) Predictive Modelling, Statistical Programming. Strong knowledge of SAS, Python, and SQL. Familiarity with Retail and Wholesale banking products, with a focus on understanding their structure, risk drivers, and evolution within the banking book.
