This role supports our community of hundreds of individual and corporate clients.
As a member of our team, you will help us to provide an effortless customer experience and constantly look for ways to create value and opportunities for our clients.
Your day will consist of managing multiple projects, including the completion of monthly , quarterly and annual bookkeeping projects for dozens of small businesses in a variety of industries.
You will receive training in the preparation of Personal Income Tax returns and have the opportunity to play an important role in tax season (March to June each year).
This is a fast-paced job so you need to be well-organized and able to prioritize tasks quickly. If you're overwhelmed at the thought of spinning multiple plates, this position isn't for you.

Certifications as a Quickbooks ProAdvisor or Xero Advisor is a competitive advantage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Outsourced Bookkeeping Preparation
Maintain recurring monthly bookkeeping projects for 20 to 30 small businesses with the highest degree of quality and accuracy
Leverage sophisticated accounting and automation software to ensure projects are completed within necessary timeframes and client fee expectations
File sales tax and payroll returns before filing deadlines, and process payroll for the employees of some of our clients.
Meet with clients to review and discuss your finished work, and provide the value of professional advice and guidance on business improvement and profitable business growth
Personal Income Taxes
Receive comprehensive personal income tax training and complete a Certified Tax Specialist certification program
Complete 200 to 300 T1 Personal Income Tax and Benefit Returns annually with a high degree of accuracy and that reflect the best in current personal income tax planning
Research and Miscellaneous Projects
When encountering a problem: do the necessary research, confirm with colleagues the correctness of your findings, and communicate clearly the solutions to our clients
Assist in nurturing relationships: respond to emails and phone calls quickly, and constantly be thinking of ways to personalize and improve our clients' experience

Experience or Equivalent Experience
Have completed or be pursuing the Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB)
Previous experience an asset
Quickbooks ProAdvisor or Xero Advisor certification is highly valued here
A proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities or projects in a fast-paced environment

32-hour work week (8 hours daily, 4 days per week)
