The CNC Press Brake Operator/Welder is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC press brake equipment to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications. This position also performs MIG and/or TIG welding to assemble metal parts, ensuring high-quality production that meets safety and efficiency standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Set up, adjust, and operate CNC press brake machines to form metal components per blueprints and work orders.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine bend sequences, tooling requirements, and material handling needs.
Inspect parts for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments (calipers, protractors, gauges, etc.).
Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on various metals to fabricate and assemble parts according to project requirements.
Maintain welding and forming equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and tooling changes.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE use and safe material handling.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.
Document work performed and maintain accurate production records.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC press brake machinery and performing welding tasks in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques, tolerances, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
Experience with CNC programming and setup (preferred but not required).
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
