About the Role:
A Pipeline Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the flow of materials through pipelines in a safe and efficient manner. in the Grande Prairie AB area
Key responsibilities:
Operate and monitor pipelines to ensure safe and efficient flow of materials
Inspect pipelines and perform regular maintenance and repairs as required
Monitor and control flow and pressure levels in pipelines
Communicate with other operators and team members to ensure effective pipeline operation
Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Prior experience in pipeline operations or related field preferred
Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Proficient in the use of computers and technology
Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug screening
Working conditions:
Work may be performed outdoors in all weather conditions
May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights
Must follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
May be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
