Role SLR is seeking an Electrical Technologist to provide design, drafting, and management activities for utility-scale solar, energy storage, and transit electrification projects. Candidates are to be based in Canada, but projects will be all over North America and the Caribbean. Ideal candidates for this position are those that are hardworking, detail-oriented, enjoy technical challenges, all while working in a fun and highly collaborative atmosphere. Responsibilities • Support communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to achieve deliverables • Create drawing packages for interconnection, RFPs, proposals, procurement, and construction using AutoCAD • Build a process flow for projects and create libraries for standard equipment • Prepare utility-scale PV layouts with PV case to optimize and determine grade limitations • Run production (PVWatts, PVSyst, etc.) reports for system production estimates • Coordinate with Sales team to develop complete proposal packages • Lead, collaborate, and knowledge share with fellow colleagues • Understand project lifecycles and the drafting deliverables required for each stage • Review and create drafting standards to provide consistency throughout the firm and meet client requirements Working @ SLR With us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge.
