TITLE: Cosmetologist LOCATION: Cliff Spa STATUS: Full-time or Part-time, Year Round SCHEDULE: Shifts available Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday PM SUMMARY As a Salon Cosmetologist at the Cliff Spa you will take the Cliff Spa Salon to the next level by providing outstanding service and treatments to guests. You will perform all treatments offered in the Cliff Spa Salon such as manicures, pedicures, haircuts, hair color, updo's, etc. WHAT YOU’LL DO Be dependable, punctual and responsible for individual shifts. Work weekends and holidays as required by business levels. Have knowledge in all phases of cosmetology, and be able to perform those services in the time allowed. Have product knowledge and must be willing to learn about the products and services we offer. Upsell by increasing revenue through upselling of retail salon products. Perform all treatments offered in the Cliff Spa Salon such as manicures, pedicures, haircuts, hair color, updo's, etc. Assist with monthly salon duties such as conducting inventory, listing retail and back bar items to be ordered according to the budget, and actively participating in daily and weekly cleaning duties as assigned. WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Utah Cosmetologist License 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence. Salon knowledge and experience. Able to read, write and communicate through speech. Must be reliable, mature and able to work with minimal supervision. Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval. Requires some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations. Requires strong understanding of other Snowbird operations. WORK SCHEDULE Full-time or Part-time PM shifts available WORKING CONDITIONS Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures. May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird. Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions. Direct and continuous contact with guests. Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments. Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
