Child Psychotherapist (PT) Opportunity with Foundation Health
Foundation Health Job Description
We are looking for a qualified, part time Child Psychotherapist to join our mental health team at Foundation Health. This position involves working remotely in a virtual telehealth environment as well as in person. As a Child Psychotherapist with Foundation Health you will be responsible for:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
Provide evidence-based therapy, including play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, and family therapy, as appropriate.
Support children experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, family conflict, grief, and adjustment disorders.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and support.
Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records and progress notes in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment goals and interventions as needed.
Participate in case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and continuing education activities.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the College of Psychotherapists or relevant regulatory body.
Skills and Experience Required
Master’s degree in Psychotherapy, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or a related field.
Registration (or eligibility for registration) with a recognized professional college (e.g., CRPO, CPO, OCSWSSW).
Specialized training or certification in child and adolescent psychotherapy or play therapy preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children and youth.
Strong knowledge of developmental psychology and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
