We are currently accepting applications to support multiple projects with our clients.
Rotation: 14/14
Shift: 12 Hours (Days and Nights)
Travel: Project Dependent - Flights via approved travel hubs (where applicable) OR Drive in / Drive out
Lodging: Accommodations provided
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening
Successful completion of comprehensive Fitness-to-Work Assessment. This assessment is job-related, focusing on the physical demands and safety sensitive nature of the work, and is conducted in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and the Alberta Human Rights Act. The assessment will cover:
Health History Review: A thorough examination of the candidate’s health background.
Pre-Medical Evaluation: Measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
Musculoskeletal Examination: A head-to-toe assessment to identify any limitations or concerns related to physical health.
Critical Strength and Mobility Test: A series of tasks assessing lifting, carrying, and positional abilities aligned with the job’s physical demands (up to 50 lbs).
Worker to provide:
CSO / BSO / CSTS-09/ OSSA Regional
Intermediate First Aid with CPR & AED
H2S Alive
Bear Awareness (In-Class)
Valid Safety Training tickets
Valid Driver’s License
CSA Approved safety boots - minimum 6" high & fully laceable.
All Morgan Field Based Workers and Equipment Operators must:
Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs.
Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is based out of our Poplar Creek AB location, with travel to our site locations and responsible for day-to-day preventative maintenance of our equipment fleet. You will
Preventative maintenance of a variety of equipment including but not limited to, Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks, Heavy Haulers, Graders, and Loaders.
Perform Equipment inspections
Complete Oil and filter changes
Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
Showcase your exceptional judgement and problem-solving skills.
Interacts with internal and external customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner that contributes toward a positive and productive worksite.
Work well with others, and independently, while following direction from foreman and field management
Notifying the Foreman or Supervisor of any equipment deficiencies.
Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel.
Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.
Ensure the corporate values are understood, embraced and implemented throughout the department; and personally, demonstrates them in daily interactions and relationships;
Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.
Operate 2-way radio

Experience / Qualification Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working on or around heavy duty is required.
Previous Heavy Automotive Mechanic experience is an asset
Must have a valid, clean class 1 or 3 with air
A clean 3-year drivers abstract is required
