Position Overview:
We are seeking a Part-Time Retail Clerk to join The ADL Store team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, ensuring accurate transactions, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. This position is essential to delivering a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Location: The ADL Store, 400 Read Drive, Summerside, PE
Hours: Approximately 15 - 20 hours per week, primarily during days, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility to cover opening shifts during vacations or sick days is also required.
Wage Rate: $17.00 / hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, helpful service and assist customers with questions or concerns.
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Restock shelves and maintain clean, organized product displays.
- Follow store policies, including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lbs and helping maintain overall store organization.
- Work cooperatively with team members to support smooth store operations and a welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience is required, ideally in a retail setting.
- Experience in food service or grocery retail is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
- Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and completing basic computer tasks.
- Able to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekend shifts, with flexibility to assist with opening shifts when needed.
- Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on your feet during shifts.
