We are seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer to join ActiVia Networks Canada, Inc., a STRATACACHE company based in Montreal.

You’ll join a small, collaborative team (backend, frontend, QA) where autonomy and teamwork go hand in hand.

What you’ll do
Develop and enhance our backend platform (Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Elasticsearch)
Help design and evolve our contract-first APIs
Improve data validation and system reliability
Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Operations
Take part in code reviews and share best practices
What we are looking for
8+ years of backend Java development experience
Strong command of Spring / Spring Boot and SQL
Curiosity, precision, and a genuine interest in how your code is used
Team player who enjoys solving real-world problems
Bilingual (French/English) — occasional collaboration with Operations
