We are seeking an Operational Procurement Category Specialist (1 year contract) to ensure the continuity of supply for all production materials, including raw materials, bulk products, and subcontract manufacturing. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, performing MRP analysis, expediting critical orders, optimizing inventory, and driving supplier performance.
Contract Full-Time (40 hours)
Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (flexible); Hybrid
In this role, you will:
Perform MRP analysis and manage purchase orders to ensure material availability.
Collaborate with vendors to meet production schedules and improve service levels.
Expedite critical orders and source alternatives for supply-risk items.
Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and implement strategies to mitigate supply risks.
Optimize inventory levels by maintaining buying parameters and supporting process improvements.
You have:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or business/operations management.
Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of MRP systems, BOM/WIP processes, and lean principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel expertise) and ERP systems (SYSPRO preferred).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills; CPIM/CSCP certification is an asset.
