Position Overview
We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our maintenance team. You will be doing maintenance in 5 different locations around Canmore and 1 in Banff. This includes the following properties: Northwinds by Basecamp, Basecamp Resorts Canmore, Basecamp Lodge Canmore, Basecamp Suites Canmore, Lamphouse by Basecamp and Basecamp Suites Banff.
Wage: $22 per hour
Full-Time/Permanent
Staff accommodation: available
Duties and Responsibilities
Help manage hot tubs (testing, re-filling, following AHS protocols).
Landscape, lawn, flower care.
Snow-removal.
Day-to-day maintenance.
Work with the team to address maintenance concerns in a timely fashion.
Observe strict safety practices.
Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Respond to all maintenance issues on a timely basis, including troubleshooting and undertaking repairs in relation to guest rooms and common areas. Maintenance issuers may include minor plumbing, painting, and a wide range of repair work.
Travel between properties.
Liaise with Front Desk and Housekeeping departments when required.
Assist on various new projects as the properties develop.
Observe strict safety practices.
Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in Maintenance is an asset.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is an asset.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment.
Valid Canadian driver’s license.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.
May be required to work outside of normal work hours.
