Job Description: This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the TI and Commercial Property Management team in Vancouver as a Wall and Ceiling Finisher & Installer. The ideal candidate is experienced in drywall finishing to level 4, is able to frame and board, and is a self-motivated, extremely organized, detail-oriented with strong initiative and an ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents; and has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads. Work with a team to execute commercial, industrial, and retail tenant improvement projects Tape, mud, and sand drywall to level 4 finish, ready for paint Sand the applied compound to ensure a flawless finish, suitable for painting or wallpapering Repair and patch any cracks, holes, or defects in the drywall to maintain high-quality standards Ceiling grid, ceiling tile, door installation and other handyman/ contractor duties Ability to do material takeoffs, coordinate deliveries, and execute projects without immediate direction A strong understanding of the construction process Be able to do physical work for an 8-hour shift Be able to follow instructions and give instructions Pay attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. Willing to travel to different sites. Load, unload and move materials and tools onto site. Clean work areas and equipment regularly. Have your own vehicle and power tools Other duties as required Qualifications and Requirements: Experienced in drywall finishing to level 4, is able to frame and board Must be familiar reading construction drawings, RFP’s to determine scope of work Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) The position requires an experience of minimum 1-2 years in drywall finishing Ideal candidate is a self-motivated, extremely organized, detail-oriented with strong initiative Be a self starter and able to work alone when needed The position is physically demanding and requires, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads and good hand-eye co-ordination as well as a combination of sitting, standing, and walking The candidate may be required to work at heights, and in noisy places Salary Range: $60,000 - 68,000 anually About The Company: Onni For over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
