Job Description Summary The Lead Project Engineer , Industrialization Projects will be responsible for project management, planning, executing, and delivering industrialization and sustaining engineering projects within Grid Automation’s manufacturing units. This role supports the successful introduction of new products (NPI), lifecycle support (LCS), and critical industrialization initiatives. The Lead Project Engineer will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery while driving continuous improvement in quality, processes and lead times. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Lead the delivery of industrialization, NPI, and sustaining engineering projects in alignment with business initiatives and requirements. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for assigned projects. Support sustaining engineering activities such as production support, ECO workflow, field issue resolution, supplier engagement and cost-out initiatives. Collaborate with R&D, Test Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Procurement, Master Data, and Manufacturing teams to drive seamless industrialization and product transitions. Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to meet scope, schedule, and budget. Participate in annual planning for industrialization and sustaining budgets and manage allocated budgets throughout the year. Serve as a single point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring effective communication and alignment across stakeholders. Drive initiatives around SAFe, Lean, Kaizen, and Simplification to accelerate time-to-market and enhance efficiency. Maintain dashboards and provide regular reporting and updates to key stakeholders. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience). 3–5 years of project management experience in manufacturing, product development, or industrialization environments. Proficiency with Agile / SAFe methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, SAP, MFM). Strong cross-functional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience managing sustaining engineering activities, supplier collaboration, and cost-out projects. Desired Characteristics Experience in power systems, grid automation, or protection relays. Demonstrated knowledge of electronic PCBA design, manufacturing processes, and transition into production. Ability to influence and collaborate across global teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (Lean/Six Sigma preferred). Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
